At Big House Farm, we believe that learning doesn’t only happen in structured settings—it happens in presence. It happens when we arrive in a new space with open eyes, when we breathe more slowly, and when we work with our hands in the soil.
Whether it’s a retreat, a weekend stay, or simply walking across the land in silence, something shifts. Something opens.
We call this a learning journey—because no matter the reason for coming here, everyone leaves with something more.
That’s why we hold space for learning in four ways:

Our retreats are slow by design. They invite you to breathe with the land, to listen to the birds, to rise with the sun, and to move your body with purpose and care. Through yoga, meditation, simple meals, and moments of quiet farm work, we offer the space to rest, reflect, and re-root.
Whether you come for a weekend or a few weeks, alone or with a group, these retreats are about slowing down to find clarity, and letting nature hold what you no longer need to carry.
This is not a place of luxury—it’s a place of depth.

Our workshops are for those who want to learn by doing. In partnership with Educational Greenhouse and local organizations, we host regular sessions on permaculture principles, holistic agripreneurship, sustainable living practices, and ecological restoration.
Some workshops are one-day introductions for schools and youth groups. Others offer deeper dives into soil health, composting, water systems, and the mindset behind regenerative farming. They’re joyful, community-rooted, and always practical—because we believe that the best learning happens between planting and conversation, between action and reflection.

Sometimes, all you need is space. Not a program, not an event—just the permission to be. That’s why we offer accommodation for those who want to step away from the noise and find presence in nature.
Stay alone, stay with friends, bring your family. Wake up to birdsong, walk the orchard at dusk, sip tea by the fire, or help with light farm tasks if you feel called. Even without a formal agenda, the farm itself teaches—about rhythm, simplicity, and the beauty of doing less. This is rest. And rest is sacred.

For those who want to truly live the work, we offer permaculture and agripreneurship internships of up to three months. These are immersive, international opportunities for people who want to learn, contribute, and grow with us—not just alongside the farm, but as part of the daily life here.
Interns participate in everything: soil preparation, planting, building, harvesting, beekeeping, retreat support, and more. In return, we provide food, accommodation, and a place in our community. Interns cover their own travel, but otherwise join the family—learning by doing, resting in between, and building something meaningful.
This is a chance to slow down, skill up, and live inside a working vision.
Big House Farm is still growing. Just like the land, just like us. That means we remain open, adaptable, and personal in everything we offer.
We know that each guest, each visitor, each learner brings a different story and a different need. That’s why we work together with you to co-create the experience that fits best—whether it’s a custom retreat, a simple stay, or a shared project.
We invite you to reach out. Let’s talk about what you need, what you’re looking for, and what this journey could become.
Send us a message on WhatsApp or use our contact form to discuss availability, pricing, and possibilities.
We’re ready to listen.
We’re ready to grow.
